I believe that no matter how strongly many of us would like to refrain from using Facebook and such platforms, our mandate does not allow us to "disappear into the virtue of our shadow". One of the basic reasons why we created CNSIG is to "develop, strengthen and promote the Community Network model". This extends to "ordinary" people, who are not mindful of the privacy issues that lurk in such platforms. We should not wait for them to come our side, but reach out strongly to them.

F/b and such platforms are a reality for most of the people of the digital sphere. Let's acknowledge this, use it the best way we can and keep on building another world.

The tactic applied by AlterMundi seems fine for the time being.

Regarding Facebook and such platforms, our (AlterMundi's) policy is to
not publish there anything that we are not publishing on our websites.
This ensures that we don't give Facebook control over content that we
value, while we still reach people who "live inside the monopoly" for
now. You need to reach inside the Matrix to pull people out, right?

Anyway, if we prefer not to have a Facebook page at all, I'm also fine
with that. If others wish to give your opinion on this, please don't
refrain from doing so.

Cheers!
