Sounds like we have to nominate someone internally to observe. I assume others got this email...

Dear SIG leaders,

First of all a very Happy New Year!

As you may recall the request had been made to the Chapters Advisory Council to allow Special Interest Groups to participate in the Council.
It has been proposed that SIGs be invited to participate in the Chapters AC as observers, with speaking rights, but not voting rights.

The proposal was approved by majority voting. Therefore, the Chapters AC Rules and Procedures have been modified as follows:

Under section 1, Definitions, add the following:

"'SIG Observers to the Chapters AC' are the individual representatives of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) designated by the SIGs. The names of the SIG Observers to the Chapters AC shall be confirmed every year by the individual SIGs. SIG Observers shall have speaking rights, but not voting rights. SIG Observers shall not be elected to the Steering Committee and shall not be officers; however, if an individual is a Delegate to the Chapters AC, as well as a SIG Observer, then that individual shall be eligible both to be an officer and to be elected to the Steering Committee. SIG Observers shall be invited to participate in ChAC meetings, and may be invited to participate in the work of subcommittees, groups, subgroups, etc."

For those of you who have not done so yet your SIG admin can add a delegate to the Chapters AC through the portal (https://portal.isoc.org/) - Chapter Administration – Leaders. There you can add a role of Chapters AC delegate.

I propose our dear leader and Chair, Mr. Echaniz. Unless we have someone who is also a delegate from an actual chapter, then they would have a voice, be eligible for posts, etc. Not sure if any of the CNSIG folks are high enough up in their chapters for this to be the case, but it is worth asking.

Hi everyone,

Now that we have one operational domain name, I have set up this e-mail
list for the CNSIG Council. The @altermundi list will be disabled soon.

Let's use this Council list from now on for any discussion/decision making.

Our initial Council members are:

Coolab - Rodrigo Troian (Brasil)
Coolab - Thiago Novaes (Brasil)
Coolab - Bruno Vianna (Brazil)

Ninux - Claudio Pisa (Italy)
Ninux - Gioacchino Mazzuco (Italy)
Ninux - Ilario Gelmetti (Italy)

Atalaya Sur - Iván Camacho (Argentina)
Atalaya Sur - Manuela González Ursi (Argentina)
Atalaya Sur - Damian Cejas (Argentina)

AlterMundi - NicoEchániz (Argentina)
AlterMundi - Jésica Giudice (Argentina)
AlterMundi - NicoPace (Argentina)

Rhizomatica - Peter Bloom (México)
Rhizomatica - Erick Huerta (Mexico)

Sarantaporo - Vasilis Chryssos (Greece)
Sarantaporo - George Klisiaris (Greece)

GramMarg - Sarbani Banerjee (India)
GramMarg - Jaspreet Singh (India)

Fantsuam Foundation - John Dada (Nigeria)

TIC AC - Karla Velasco (México)
TIC AC - Rodrigo Huerta (México)

Zenzeleni - Soledad Lucadetena (South Africa)

So, we have 10 organizations, represented by 22 people. According to our
Bylaws, each organization has a vote and up to three voices in this Council.

Sol will soon be sending a call for our initial Council meeting through
this list.

ISOC will officially announce the CNSIG creation some time during next week.

Cheers!
