Hi, I am interested in using this XBee expansion socket (for GPS module or
4G module) but for a LORAWAN node/gateway IoT, at this moment I don't know
if it is possible.
They are more info about it, the XBee socket?
The idea is to deploy TheThings Network (optionally) at the same time than
guifinet (or other free networks)

I was at the presentation in Barcelona, thanks Pau/Gui. Are the slides
downloadable
somewhere?
Many thanks!

Wir wollen euch das LibreRouter Projekt vorstellen.
Am 11.11. um 18:00 im Metalab
LibreRouter- Open Source Hardware for community based networks (wifi)
We are Gui and Isa from AlterMundi(Argentina) working with mesh networks
in Latin America. A few months ago we started a Open Hardware Project
together with partners in South Africa, Germany, Australia, Canada und
Hong Kong in order to produce a Router that is designed for the needs of
communities in Latin America. Since many partners joined the team the
project is expanding and a team in south africa is focusing on
implementing and optimising the solar panel usage for more autonomy and
because of the lack of electricity in the region.
Since the battlemesh recon visit will take place, Marek will be in
Vienna as well and we want to take the chance to present the librerouter
project to people that are interested.

We are looking forward meeting you!!

Hi,
Specifications Sheet v3 from Librerouter says:
2 x Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45
This [1] (Preliminary version) says:
"The Ethernet switch is a highly integrated twoGb MAC plus 5-port fast
Ethernet switch with non-blocking switch fabric"
I understand this means:
5-port fast Ethernet switch
2 x Gigabit ethernet RJ-45
But I don't see this 2 gigabit ethernet in the features (first page).
Is there a definitive version of what capabilities have AR9344? PDF?
Cheers,
Pedro
https://librerouter.org/contact/ form is not working so I leave here the
message:
Hi everyone!
We are a coop and we want to help to LibreRouter project.
We are web/mobile developers but also we have some projects with
hardware like pcengines APU (we are finishing a router and mobile apps
for a live language interpretation device: interprest.io) and Raspberry
Pi.
We are involved in different commitment levels in projects such as
Guifinet, Eticom, Coop57, Olatukoop...
How can we help LibreRouter? Also, if you want to go couchsurfing to the
Basque Country, you are welcome.

Talaios Koop.
Hello guys
The greatest problem we have with the installation in Fumaça, Brazil, is
that the internet connection is down very often. Ideally, I'd like the
users to be redirected to the local server when this happens - not only so
that they can use the local applications but also to encourage them to call
the company that provides the link and make a complaint. And nodogsplash
won't work when the gateway is down.
So digging an old post from Gui, I made a small script that is added to the
crontab and checks every minute is the network is down. In that case it
adds a redirect to the dnsmask config file, which is removed when the
connection comes back.
It seems to be working in my test network at home. Next thing I'll try with
nodogsplash and see it won't break anything. But since my libremesh
knowledge is very limited, I'd appreciate if you evaluate if there's any
problem with this approach.
Thanks!
Bruno

Hello folks,
as part of the reorganization discussed at the last meeting
https://librerouter.org/article/meeting-2016-08-19/
we are converting the "fcc-free(a)listas.altermundi.net"
into "librerouter(a)listas.librerouter.org"
It's on a different server, but I just migrated the subscriptors list
(around 20 people) and rsynced the pipermail archive, so history is not lost
https://listas.librerouter.org/pipermail/librerouter/
Please direct your emails to librerouter(a)listas.librerouter.org from now on,
fcc-free is no longer active (received mails are withheld), and will be
deleted soon
cheers!
Hi all,
Just a short note to say that I have passed on the specs we discussed to
our manufacturing partner in Shenzhen and he should be able to give us
feedback shortly on the affordability of the platform.
I found out that the AR9344 needs an external chip for the dual radio to
operate simultaneously. We obviously need that.
Cheers... Steve
