Hi Nicolas,
Sorry for the slow reply. I got a response today but not for a single
AR9344 device, rather for something a bit more powerful. They suggested an
AR9344 + AR9382 design, with high power (up to 600mw ) on both 2.4G and
5.8G and four antennas. The estimated manufacturing cost is around $70~$80
depending on final spec. This is obviously a much more powerful device.
What do you think?

And here is a Ruckus device that seems to implement both chipsets, selling
for about $450

Hi all,
Just a short note to say that I have passed on the specs we discussed to
our manufacturing partner in Shenzhen and he should be able to give us
feedback shortly on the affordability of the platform.
I found out that the AR9344 needs an external chip for the dual radio to
operate simultaneously. We obviously need that.
