Actually, Panos from NetHood facilitated one Banana PI Router 1 to me,
and this Router 2 is on its way.
The R1 is useless as it uses a crappy radio, but actually the BPI-R2 is
seems a good product:
* gigabit switch
* sata storage
* 2.4/5ghz MTK Radios
* Powerful MTK CPU
The only problem is that there is no current support for OpenWRT/LEDE
on this new device.
I'm doing some tests on running OpenWRT/LEDE on top of
Debian/Raspbian/ARMbian through chroot... will report on this ASAP.
The challenge is how to deal with the kernel features and with the
radio drivers that are not patched (as the OpenWRT/LEDE drivers are
heavily patched).
