you can fork off your own profile from that, don't forget to select
"Openwrt revision" = r42398

it's a different branch (the "stable" branch) and i've been
extensively testing the release, ironing out bugs that might be
related to the one you mention, (i found out a race condition with
wifi/netifd which sounds similar)
so it would be nice to see how it works for you
