Hello,

Continuing with this theme, it turns out that in the NuestraRED.org project we need to purchase several new equipment to improve coverage.
For several years we have been working with Ubiquiti but with the recent changes in these computers is almost impossible to install OpenWRT on computers with firmware versions higher than 6.1.7 which is the one that comes with the new equipment.
That's why we are looking at the possibility of buying MikroTik equipment but we have never used those equipment and although I see that several are supported on the list of OpenWRT I want to know if anyone has had experience with these equipment and can recommend some of these equipment to me to risk trying them.

The Mikrotik teams that I have seen that can be of use are the following:

MikroTik - RB912UAG-2HPND-OUT
Mikrotik LHG 5 Light Head Grid 5 GHz
MikroTik LHG XL HP5 Dual Chain Extra Large High Power 27dBi 5GHz CPE
MIKROTIK RB911G-5HPND-QRT Mikrotik QRT 5, RB911G-5HPnD-QRT 23dbi 5GHz Wireless 802.11n
RBLDF-5nD-US

I have also reviewed the outdoor range of TP-LINK equipment, but in Colombia you only get the new versions that are not 100% supported, I have looked at this equipment
TP-Link CPE610 High Power Outdoor CPE/Access Point
Has anyone had any experience with him?

Also if someone has a guide, how to convert an indoor equipment Dual Band, an outdoor equipment would be very helpful, on the Internet I have not found anything, I remember that altermundi people had some guides based on equipment wdr3600 and other TpLink but I can not find them.

I hope you can help us.

Thank you very much.

Well, it only 100MBit/s fast Ethernet while 802.11AC can do
significantly more throughput... This is sad, because rather then
giving it 3 FastEthernet ports they should have added a external
RGMII phy and just a single Gigabit Ethernet port (the MT7620A chip
would potentialls support that). Also the board in the photo doesn't
have external PA/LNA populated and therefore will not have very good
range.
