There's a program fulfilled by the University of Chicago about Data Science for Social Good. - https://dssg.uchicago.edu This year they are running the project in 3 locations and having a team of 12 scientists, the project proposal phase is still open - https://dssg.uchicago.edu/faq-for-dssg-project-partners/ Meaning that if you have a problem that requires master skills on data analysis and it's for a social cause this may be a good opportunity.
