Hi! Im not at all, but i have some ideias..

Why not distribute all content of this course in CD-ROMs or USB
flash-drives? If people don't have access to the Internet..

 Hi all,

this might be another interesting resource to consider although it
 might need to be updated

http://wirelessafrica.meraka.org.za/wiki/index.php/DIY_Mesh_Guide

I think that it is a great start to consolidate the technical
expertise and make more graphical and available in different
languages. I think for making it more "geek-free" we would have
to include work on analogies that non-technical people can relate to
as well. I'm not sure those training materials incorporate them, and
I'm not sure can be as global as technical knowledge is.

Also, I think it is well acknowledged that there are other skills
required that go beyond the technical ones. Most  of this material is
probably country specific with regards to regulation,
building community, etc, so it might be more difficult to capture
 for globally produced materials.

 best,

 carlos

 Hi to all,

Some years ago we worked with many other people from APC on TRICALCAR
project, where we made 3 workshops for Latin Amercan region, and also
we worked translating and adapting some material from Itrainonline.
We also create a new chapter about sustainability
and gender. All this material is open and available here:

 English

http://www.itrainonline.org/itrainonline/mmtk/wireless.shtml

 Español

We would be interested on participate updating, translating o
creating new material if it is neccessary.

 Greetings

 Human interpreter.
I was actually thinking about your team and RIPE NCC’s as this could
be great for community webinars and/or outreach…
You can see the interpreter as they translate and the other person,
but you hear the language you want.
 They also can include sign-language…

 Hi All –

I also wanted to tell you about a new service we may test out –
 HeadVox.
I was just on a demo call with them French/English – video/voice call
 with a chat app.
The translation is simultaneous and very impressive as it allows
people to listen in their own language with translation, etc.

So, stay tuned as we could make this available to you if you wanted
to have a monthly or quarterly call on this platform that would allow
 multiple languages.

 There are two tasks there:

 * make the courses more graphically intensive

 * make them localised on other languages

For the first, there is this experience about commotion that is very
well organized... perhaps we can ask them to join us and use their
 communication skills?

For the second one... at least for the mainstream languages
(portuguese, english, spanish) we have Luis' University and I'm going
to have a meeting this week with GlobalVoices.

Once we have the material on those languages, I think it would be
easy for our communities to deal with the other translations.

And the question that Jane did remains: Perhaps we can commit to do
that with a team that is interested?

We can send that link early on Monday.

Note that this was the first iteration of the course – if folks want
to help us improve it – we can talk about that.
