Thank you Bob for bringing the sense of wholeness to community
networking. It is the same dilemma I have with people thinking that
using a little nonlibre (nonfree as in slavery) software is almost as
good as using exclusively libre software. (Some people call it extremism
an attitude of being firm and integral on our rational positions. But it
is not extreme it is just a position like any other.)
The idea is freedom. If one part of the whole is a monopoly, it makes
the whole a monopoly. Of course, the above ideas do not deny the value
of the nonmonopolic parts. But what are the parts without the whole?
