Congrats to DC3 members and all community network leaders. While we already had the
policy/regulatory basis for CNs to operate prior to this in Brazil, this is a step forward
for sure. Congrats Luca for keeping this group active!Best,Nathalia

Excellent news from Brazil
A great leap forward. I wish my country of origin, after the
bushfires made headlines, would make such a stride forward.

It’s excellent news. I’m very happy for the CN
community in Brazil, this will definitely constitute a step in
the right direction.
It’s very interesting how Brazil and Mexico have
advanced in the policy ecosystem faster than most. Apart from
the obvious truth that each country is different, it’s
definitely worth taking a look at what particular steps are
more representative to the goal of formal recognition and
adequate characterization.
Thanks for the update Luca, hoping to see more
from Brazil soon!
Cheers,

Absolutely awesome. Hope that does
not take away
the fact that the government still
indulges in non democratic practices and is
radical :)
That is unnecessary.

Dear all,
I
just want to share some excellent news
from Brazil.
The
Brazilian Telecoms Regulator Anatel
has officially recognized Community
Networks as an option for Internet
access and explicitly mentions (and
links) our 2018 outcome “The Community
Network Manual” in the decision.

This
is, to date, the biggest country on
hearth officially recognizing CN and
it is largely due to the excellent and
incessant work of many members of this
list!
Congratulations
to ALL people involved!!!!
All
the best
