Hi folks,
Our proposal is in the list. 273 proposals were submitted. Ours is
number 238 and can be read here:

I notice items 16 and 17 are blank:
16. Based on which Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
No information provided
17. Background paper
No additional background paper provided
Item 16 may be particularly important when the MAG analyzes the
workshops. If things work as they did in 2015, it is possible to do some
editing.
In my view, some obvious topics directly related to the workshop theme
are part of the following goals:
4 Quality education
9 Industry, innovation, and infrastructure
10 Reduced inequalities
11 Sustainable cities and communities
17 Partnerships for the goals
Of course one can relate practically all 17 goals to community
initiatives...
It would be relevant to insert something like this in the workshop form
if it is still editable.
Also, if there is a background paper on the theme we could insert in the
form it would be great.

Hi Nico and all,
We will modify the proposal as soon as it will be possible.
I suggest to particularly focus on SDG 9c "universal and affordable access in least
developed countries"
I am writing to the Secretariat to request to add this point, if possible.

In the draft of connecting next billion I sent modifications with this text.
If need to justify issue by issue, I can do a draft too.
Demonstrating how Connecting and Enabling the Next Billion contributes to
reaching the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as Good Health
and Wellbeing (Goal n°3) and Quality Education (Goal n°4) the IGF could be
used as a unique platform to demonstrate the cross-sectoral benefits of
Access. Examples of success stories in using the Internet, such as the use
of high-speed Internet in fighting Ebola, or the development of rural
educational communities would be documented. *(Agreed with Marcelo proposed:
Includes SDGs 6, 7, 11 e 12 if we think about smartcities and internet of
things (it is worth reading The Zero Marginal Cost Society); SDGs 8, 9 and
10 based in the fact that GPD growth is attached to internet access).
