Dear DC
A question please. Reflecting on WSIS, ITU deals with connectivity as IGF
does. For the full meaningful citizen access experience, a device is
typically required too. Is there a UN Agency that deals with advocating the
provision of ICT devices, e.g Tablet for All or does that come under IGF
DESA only?
The other thought was, in business right now, lots of discussion of what
the new normal will look like post Covid19 critical pandemic times. Issues
of sustainable connectivity and betterment there-of, as well as now a
dependence on internet to provide e-solutions for ebusiness and egovernment
alike . Temporary measures are now here to stay for all time, as cost
effectiveness or return on investement can be realized. Is this something
that we should discuss please ?

Dear people,
The MAG/IGF for 2021 has organized the main general themes for this year in two groups: two main focus areas, and four emerging and cross-cutting issues.
The two main focus areas are strongly related to the work of DC3:
Economic and social inclusion and human rights
Universal access and meaningful connectivity
The emerging and cross-cutting issues are:
Emerging regulation
Environmental sustainability and climate change
Inclusive IG ecosystems and digital cooperation
Trust, security, stability
Issue groups are being organized to develop and refine these themes. In particular, the MAG is seeking further participation from civil society organizations.
Regarding the "universal access and meaningful connectivity" focus area, here is the working document for which we are looking for contributions from the DC3 community:

People interested in joining this dialogue can subscribe to the "2021focus-UAMC" mailing list:
http://intgovforum.org/mailman/listinfo/2021focus-uamc_intgovforum.org
Of course contributions to the preparation of the other issues is welcome as well.
The MAG plans to have a final version of the issue documents by this coming week, so if you are interested please join the list ASAP.
fraternal regards
