*What is Enertracks? *
The EnerTracks training programme was developed by Agora in cooperation
with the Renewables Academy (RENAC) and aims to share sector specific
knowledge with independent thought leaders working in the field of the
transformation of energy systems in low- and middle-income countries. It is
funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature
Conservation and Nuclear Safety and is made up of three training paths:
1. The Enertracks Fellowship

Both the fellowship and study tours would usually take place in person, but
due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions, we have postponed all in-person
programming until further notice. In the meantime, we will continue to
offer virtual Study Tours and online courses throughout 2021.
*What is the Virtual Study Tour? *
The virtual EnerTracks Study Tour was designed with a practice-orientated
approach to enhance and strengthen the ability of participants to engage in
thoughtful dialogue with energy policy stakeholders in their home country.
Through this 5-week interactive online programme, a competitively selected
group of 12-18 energy transition professionals are provided with immersive
training in electricity system modelling, design thinking, and renewable
energy finance. Since 2018, a total of 60 participants from different
countries have taken part in the EnerTracks in-person and virtual study

Dear people,
The MAG is discussing an interesting proposal for a Policy Network on Meaningful Access, which is closely related to the work of the DC3, among other initiatives.
Please read the attached document. It is a draft and the PN is not yet approved.

Subject: Consultations on paragraph 93 - survey reponse
To: inputs(a)intgovforum.org
Question1
Priority should be about international risk management in times of crisis.
This could be to support immediate connectivity and ensuing issues for
events such as the covid19 andemic and associated ICT issues, a tsunami
etc. A focus on UN emergency operations communications for citizens and UN
SDGs long term as new normals come in to existence post event...bridging
the digital gap in times of crisis, for fast relief to reach a new normal .
The IGF Dynamic Coalitions are well placed bottom up groups to identify
emerging risks and provide observations for uptake for discussion. DCs
should be consulted annually in a systematic manner and an open call to all
DCs be made so that cross cutting issues can be considered.
Consideration should be given also to development of sustainable circular
economies for technology with low waste and participation from local
nonprofit groups for cost effective local solutions.
Question 2
Up to 75 members of two year terms each with a good balance of sectors,
stakeholders, regions, age and gender. IGF dynamic coalitions should also
have a seat.
Question 3
Should be virtual meetings so that there can be affordable access.
Question 4
Quality access is key to meets the UN SDGs in the new world era.
Thank you
Amali De Silva - Mitchell in a personal capacity.
