Michael,
Even if beyond the purview of this DC, on the topic of refugee settlements,
can CNs integrate connectivity technologies with SDGs related to decent
life (for the length of their refugee status)? Could CNs with UNHCR, ISOC
and UNDP to identify borderline land tracts to build temporary but decent,
connected neighbourhoods, with the Communities themselves using
connectivity to engineer all round well being? Food, Shelter, Water,
Clothing, Health, Education.... ?

Hi Siva,
Yes, I realise it's not 100% relevant, but is closely related. Regarding
the questions you raise, I absolutely think that CNs should be able to play
a more active role in the context of the questions you mention, assuming
there is capacity, access, and mobility to deploy.

This is a very interesting topic. Note that there are some CNs whose focus is tech and
sustainable energy.

There are many dynamics in the refugee camps, and we are talking to a few people/orgs to
see what we might be able to do for CNs in the camps or for CNs that could be started.

There are many dynamics in the refugee camps, and we are talking to a few
people/orgs to see what we might be able to do for CNs in the camps or for
CNs that could be started.
The politics are tricky, but let us see.
