hi Nico
Sorry for not following up. Coolab is all in favor of doing this meeting
in BsAs. So yes, let's discuss it - if it is not too late.
ISOC has already invited some of us to the BsAs event.
Peter from Rhizomatica, Thiago from Coolab and myself from AlterMundi
will be there. AtalayaSur are located in Buenos Aires.
The Spectrum Management Conference is on days September 5 and 6. There's
a meeting organized by UIT, CAF, Citel, ISOC on the 7th which is
dedicated to Community Networks and Spectrum.
Then on the 8th we could use the day for a CNSIG/LAC meeting,
considering most members will have a representative there already.
If someone else from the LAC region wishes to join, we can ask for
ISOC's support.
So, if we are OK with having our CNSIG/LAC meeting there and then, we
should work on our agenda for the meeting.
Cheers,
Nico

I don't know if it is the case with BsAs?
Bruno, Atalaya Sur works in Buenos Aires. It would be very interesting
if we could all visit their experience. But I'll let them talk for
themselves! :)
ISOC is moving forward with organizing a workshop on Community Networks
after this event. Rhizomatica and AlterMundi will already be there;
Atalaya Sur is in Buenos Aires, so we would only need to invite Coolab
and People's Open to have the full CNSIG Americas participation.
This seems like a good opportunity, and we haven't offered other
alternatives so far.
Can we discuss if it makes sense for us to have a regional CNSIG meeting
after that event?
Cheers!
Nico

That said not sure it is an appropriate candidate for
piggybacking off of.
It doesn't seem like a friendly venue for us... but there's no
need to
associate our name with the event in any way,
we should just
choose an
event to which many of us are already
traveling, so we can
have our
regional meeting prior or after said event.
Maybe we can all mention what events in LAC we are planning to
travel
to, so we can decide which one best fits our
needs.
I'll start:
- The 5th Annual Latin America Spectrum Management Conference:
Wed 5 September to Thu 6 September, Buenos Aires

- LACIGF: July 31 - August 2, Buenos Aires

As soon as we receive more info on the other two regional
meetings
I'll
let everyone know and we can start a thread
for each.
Christian O'Flaherty (ISOC) has just pointed out (again
because
