Thank you for your effort with chef.
I wanted to suggest for those boards (Raspberry, Orange Pi, etc) maybe to
include a selection of radio boxes for usb wifi and usb lan adapters
David share your log since if your Raspberry Pi is stuck on the colored
screen then maybe the kernel does not match your board chipset ie
bcm2708/bcm2709/bcm2010 , raspberry pi zero, 2 and 3 respectively
David share your log file
Since you are using the Pi 2 the profile should be bcm2709, I have build
for both bcm2708 and bcm2710 successfully using git (lime-sdk) but will
also try chef is if find some time

No matter which image I try from the repo, my pi2 always hangs on the
rainbow screen …..
With a little bit of url snipping I went to

https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/static/lime/17.06/brcm2708/bcm2709
/rpi-2/ where I found some recent sd card images, including one in
which the manifest lists kmod-rtl8192cu.
Celebrations have been shortlived L, my pi2 once again is hanging on
the rainbow screen …..
I guess my next option is to try and build it locally, which I’ll look
at tonight.
Is there a forum or somewhere I can usefully put my results and
perhaps catch up on the good work being done by others? If the pi
target builds are broken will my pottering provide useful info for
other noobs? (note, I’ll still be doing the pottering whether or not
there is somewhere to plonk the results).

I just wanted to confirm-- is anyone able to cook a firmware in the
new chef (https://chef.libremesh.org/) choosing a community network
profile? I get hung forever on "building image".

Hi Bruno and David,
I'm most sorry for the trouble chef caused you recently. Currently I'm the
only dev of chef and the backend server creating the images.
Initially the backend was not meant to produce factory images but only
sysupgrades.
Some further information can be obtained here:

All "failed" builds are in this list:

Failed is somewhat wrong as the server could just not find the
"sysupgrade" image but only a factory one (or none at all). This is due to
the initial scope of the project.
I'll try to fix the RPI as soon as possible and add a banner pointing out
the young stage of chef.
