Hi
Thanks for Ammbr link,
do they have a working prototype to show?
In my case, to reduce proof of work extra power consumption,
I was thinking about using free money project from Duniter
(money is member generated instead of blockchain
mining).
Prototyping it on a "LibrePod" conceived in
Adding P2P services. Like document sharing & media center + social
network service + device charging service...
I am willing to make the project in collaboration with Dominica
Governement as a Mesh Network service to rebuild after Hurricane.
Cheers

Hi all,
Perhaps you have heard of Ammbr?

It seems highly relevant for this discussion.
Personally I have many reservations for a scheme that combines
speculation with sharing :-)
It doesn't need to conceive speculation... that is there by design...
there could be a currency that doesn't include speculation as part of
its model.
