Hi Paul,
Mate, don't apologise!
Kudos for a brilliant project! :-)
All the best,

Hi,
I only joined the list today so apologies if I’m bringing up old news
;-)
In response to this thresd, yes I was able to cook several firmwares
for the gl-ap150 with different profiles.
I wasn’t able to cook anything for any of the raspberry pi variants
I’ve been trying to get a pi2 lime default firmware that includes
kmod-rtl8192cu but chef just returns “requested image is too big for
requested target. retry with less packages” and a link to the Build
log
<https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/static/faillogs/65571141b31a.log>:
If anyone’s interested, here are a couple of the latest build logs:
https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/static/faillogs/65571141b31a.log
https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/static/faillogs/a12757de64ed.log
No matter which image I try from the repo, my pi2 always hangs on the
rainbow screen …..
With a little bit of url snipping I went to
https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/static/ and then drilled down to
https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/static/lime/17.06/brcm2708/bcm2709
/rpi-2/ where I found some recent sd card images, including one in
which the manifest lists kmod-rtl8192cu.
Celebrations have been shortlived L, my pi2 once again is hanging on
the rainbow screen …..
I guess my next option is to try and build it locally, which I’ll look
at tonight.
Is there a forum or somewhere I can usefully put my results and
perhaps catch up on the good work being done by others? If the pi
target builds are broken will my pottering provide useful info for
other noobs? (note, I’ll still be doing the pottering whether or not
there is somewhere to plonk the results).
Thanks
David

I just wanted to confirm-- is anyone able to cook a firmware in the
new chef (
https://chef.libremesh.org/) choosing a community network
profile? I get hung forever on "building image".
Thanks
Bruno
Hi Bruno and David,
I'm most sorry for the trouble chef caused you recently. Currently I'm the only
dev of chef and the backend server creating the images.
Initially the backend was not meant to produce factory images but only sysupgrades.
Some further information can be obtained here:
https://github.com/aparcar/attendedsysupgrade-server
All "failed" builds are in this list:
https://ledeupdate.planetexpress.cc/fails
Failed is somewhat wrong as the server could just not find the "sysupgrade"
image but only a factory one (or none at all). This is due to the initial scope of the
project.
I'll try to fix the RPI as soon as possible and add a banner pointing out the young
stage of chef.
Thanks for you feedback, please don't hesitate to add comments & thoughts.
Best,
Paul
