Ok, I just
followed your instructions, flashed the new firmware and
erased the old config. Ssh-ed in, modified /etc/config/lime-defaults,
run lime-config, and... it doesn't work ;)
Well, it doesn't throw an error, either, but most of the stuff in
/etc/config is untouched, and the only two modified files are 0 bytes each:
