Hi Panos. That sounds really interesting to me. I have to check if the dates collide with some other appointment. I'm going to the WBM and afterwards we `might` organize a hackathon for the LibreRouter project [1] somewhere in Europe. Maybe we could find some kind of collaboration/relationship between LibreRouter and your proposal. If we had the prototypes for that dates we might test some of them in your network. That would help us to debug and see how it works in a real environment. But still is too early for knowing the details so we can keep in touch the next weeks to see if it fits. In any case I'm personally interested on your proposal.

Great! Just heard from Juergen Neumann (Freifunk.net) that he will be able to come to Athens as well if we manage to organize something substantial. (I had "reserved" him on June 11-13 for a keynote talk at a workshop on DIY and community networking in Stockholm, which was canceled) Now if Pau and Gio will be finally able to come, we could announce a "libremesh hands-on workshop in Athens" and share the invitation to the battle of the mesh list if more people are willing to join.

In the mean time, it might be interesting to discuss what this would mean in practice on our side. Right now we have access to only 4 roofs (2 "home" roofs, with good Internet access but limited freedom on antenna placement, and two "squat" roofs with no constraints). But if we know that you are coming we could try to engage a few more people that have showed interest to share their roofs and buy some additional equipment. Btw, I forgot to say that I am personally engaged in two related EU Horizon2020 projects, http://netcommons.eu and http://mazizone.eu from where I have some budget to support these activities in Athens. But this is only through my (high) Swiss salary and not as an official task of the projects themselves. I could give more details about these projects for those interested during the workshop in Athens. Best, Panos.
