By the way, develop is not based on LEDE.
i think pau meant "develop is *now* based on LEDE"
regarding the builds published at
builds.libre-mesh.org, you can test
them but please don't leave them in "production" yet, because i'm
currently compiling all the kmod-* packages, which are tied to a
specific kernel compilation,
and the lime-build that pau used to generate the
builds.libre-mesh.org
didn't include *all* kmods (just the essential ones), so if you flash
one of those images, and then try to do "opkg update && opkg install
sqm-scripts" for example, it will fail since it depends on a kmod- that
is not available (as it hasn't been compiled) for the specific kernel
that comes with pau's binaries.
this is the main reason i stated ("publish full opkg tree") that is
critical to having a proper, maintainable release. without it, people
will be angry at us in 6 months or a year, when they try a "opkg
install" and fail irremediably
unfortunately, i didn't had enough time to do it yesterday (as promised)
and i'll be mostly offline for the next 7 days, so while i'm doing my
best to get this done ASAP (i just left lime-build compiling a full
imagebuilder on
libremesh.org server), i might not make it before the
19/sept.
that means, if everything fails, i'll do it on the 19/sept
cheers!
Cheers.

Finally we have a new release!
Welcome 16.07 or CommunityChaos :D
The release is not yet included in Chef, it will be in a short time,
until then you can build locally the firmware using lime-build :)
If you find a bug please report it!
The release is not officially out, we still have to update the chef,
publish generic binaries and full opkg tree, and send out the changelog,
i'll try to do it later today, or tomorrow,
just hold on a bit more :)
thanks for the wonderful weekend!
cheers!
