What is your experience with Do-It-Yourself Wi-Fi signal boosters?
Anyone tried the one on the attachment?

I have tried this and it works, but is more a parabolic shape than the beer can:

Old and no longer used satellite tv reflectors also work quite well,
although they are large and unwieldy.
In addition, antenna feed line loss will get you unless you weatherproof
and place the whole radio/antenna assembly at the nose.
