I did this before by hand and it was working until I invoked creating
network by lime-app
Lime-app did a reset of lan interface and deleted the wan interface

I don't think that any recent change touched that.
What I think is happening is that the PicoStation only ethernet port is
configured by OpenWrt as a LAN port by default, so lime-hwd-openwrt-wan
does not touch it (what lime-hwd-openwrt-wan does is: "if OpenWrt think
this port is WAN, so set it as WAN", nothing else).
In order to set that port as WAN you have to add in
/etc/config/lime-node an interface specific configuration as described
here:
