you will find a
list of equipment tested with OpenWRT and different MESH Network projects
of different prices.
I think the cheapest of the list are the TP-LINK equipments with CPE*
reference and the GL.iNET equipments.
Greetings.

There's a list of compatible hardware on the
LibreMesh site.
Out of that list I found the TP-Link Archer C7 are really good value if
you buy them second hand. I got them for about 30-40 USD a pop if you're
willing to search around.

Hello!
It's a rather long story, but I am planning to create a small mesh
network, and I have just a few hours to spend my entire budget (it's an art
grant, lol).
Anyway, the thing I'm trying to figure out is what find of routers to get?
I'm looking at the Linksys WRT3200ACM MU-MIMO, which seems great because
it's open source, but wow, it's expensive!
I wonder if anyone on this list has found great & cheap hardware for nodes?
I'd love to be able to use my budget (It's around 600USD) to get as many
nodes as possible!
My hope is to set up a mesh network as part of an art-game and train local
folks to take it over and expand it after the piece is done. <3
Thanks for any and all thoughts!!
Cheers,
Hayley
