I put the LiMe network on a channel (40, 5.2GHz) allowed in Italy,
so it
should be visible (if you notice, in [1] you can see that 5.2GHz is
in
the list of frequencies scanned by AirOS). For reference I added
another
NSM5 running OpenWrt in ap mode.
Do you have any idea of why this happens?
Maybe channel 40 is DFS only in italy ?
ath9k doesn't support DFS at moment, so if you wanna use 5GHz DFS
channels in
public places and be legal you sadly have to use proprietary software
on your
radio device, while using libre-mesh in the router doing a ground
routing
setup (at your home you can use the picostation as ground-router)
I don't think it's a problem related to the channel, I've seen this
problem using channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 with libre-mesh and with openwrt.
The result is always:
AirOS with Uzbekistan country code: site survey shows both ap from
OpenWrt and libre-mesh
AirOS with Italian country code: site survey shows only ap from OpenWrt
Looking at configuration of NSM5 with OpenWrt and NSM5 with LiMe they
seems identical.
