Hi all!
On the LEDE project homepage there are some endorsement from some wireless
communities, shall we add also the support from Libre-Mesh?

Ciao,

Hey all,
I'm getting a few techies together tonight to play with libre-mesh to see
if we can't eventually setup a network in New Orleans. I'm pretty novice
myself so it would be cool if someone could try to be around in the IRC
channel in case we have questions.
We're meeting at 6:30pm Central US.

Hi,
I have my private home network connected to the Internet and then the
LiMe network I am deploying. In order to let the LiMe network access
the Internet, I connect the WAN port of a LiMe router to a switch port
(LAN) of my private home router. And it just rocks, double NAT works,
and routers spread the Internet all around the mesh.
But now I am trying to deny any traffic from LiMe hosts (10.x.x.x) to
my private home network (192.168.x.x).
I have been playing with the LuCI web interface of my private home
router but somehow I do not manage to restrict the undesired traffic.
This is what I've tried:
1. I assign a static IPv4 address to the LiMe router (I did not manage
do it with IPv6).
2. I create a traffic rule which DROPS ANY traffic coming from the
statically assigned IPv4 address (192.168.A.A) of the connected LiMe
router (which is in the LAN zone and with a defined source MAC
address) with destination ANY LAN zone -so that they can access only
the Internet (WAN).
3. I enable the rule and put it up to the top of the list
Why can I still reach my home private router from the LiMe network?
Is this "zone" thing working?
How should I configure it?
Please let me know. Either through the LuCI web interface or the
command line -step by step, please.
Thank you!

Hi there,
I am playing for the first time with a Libre-Meshed Nanostation M5 and
there are some things I don't understand:
1 - Can a 5Ghz Wi-Fi client connect to the Nanostation? I only managed
to connect a client through the copper cable.
2 - Can the Nanostation be managed remotely? How? I have only been
able to see the LuCi web interface when connected to the Nanostation
trough the copper cable.
3 - Can the copper port of the Nanostation behave as a WAN port (and
DHCP client)?
Cheers!

Hi everyone, I've spent the past few weeks trying to find routers without
blocked firmware and test small deployments of Libre-Mesh. First off, are
there any online tutorials / walkthroughs on installation? I'm basing
everything off one workshop I went to.
I'm at the point now where I have a two Ubiquity airGateways and one
airRouter flashed with builds from here <
http://chef.altermundi.net/downloads/libre-mesh/r44952/1509/ar71xx/>. They
are able to broadcast the Libre-Mesh and Libre-Mesh/routerID SSIDs.
But I'm unable to open the router settings. Since I've flashed, I haven't
been able to access any router using any of the following: 192.168.0.1,
192.168.1.1, thisnode.info or http://anygw.
Any tips about what steps I can take next to debug what's going on? I have
no prior experience with Libre-Mesh or OpenWRT so you may have to speak
very slowly to me. Thanks,
marvin
Hi.
I'm reading "Interoperability between classic infrastructure and Libre-Mesh networks in Guifi.net"[1]
which includes references to other papers and websites.
One of these references is http://libre-mesh.org/projects/libre-mesh/wiki/Ground_routing which seems that hosted a redmine
instance but is not available anymore.
Where can I find the information from that page? Archive.org doesn't have any copy.
Since you are using GitHub to host the project and they provide wiki pages maybe it's a good place to move that precious
information. Another possibility is using some already existing wiki like http://wiki.guifi.net
Regards,
Pablo.

How can I connect to the web interface (LuCi) of a specific node when
I'm connected through another node? I mean when I know their hostnames.
Thank you!

Hello all.
After the talk by Pau and Gio in sax2016[1] I'm eager for trying libremesh to start setting up mesh networks in my city.
I've been reading the website and found that the Chef tool[2] is not working.
Is it a temporary problem or is it a service that is not offered anymore?
Thanks and keep the good work!
Pablo.
