the 3c is not even supported by openwrt -

libremesh is built for a few of the openwrt supported routers. so it seems
like it wouldn't be a good choice at all.
if you go for the ethernet + routers solution, then dualband won't be as
important. we have been using single bands tp-link cpe210/510 with good
results. a pair of cpe510 would be great for the link between the apartment
and the event (assuming it is too far for ethernet cables)
