I did try. Again "Error code 2: Firmware check failed".
I did a hard reset too. No difference.
Something strange is happening here, maybe Ubiquiti

their image signature check (evil feature present in AC serie
routers) to 5.5.6 and even their own old images are not passing the
signature check??
Maybe. But they would be lying. I asked if it was possible that the
v5.5.6 (XW) firmware they sent me was locked as it is every v5.6
firmware. They answered it is not locked.

to upgrade from their 5.5.6 to a 5.5.10 you downloaded long time

They suggest to go for an RMA. They also said:
