That's right, the idea for the future releases is to use 802.11s by
default and it will break compatibility with previous deployed networks.
However you can always generate your own firmware with Ad-Hoc if you wish.
In any case, for the coming release we will publish two versions, one
with Ad-hoc by default and another with 802.11s by default.
