All libremesh firmwares have 2 modes mixed in each radio enabled by default. Indeed, the
routers that doesn't support this I think are not in the snapshots. I have 1 WR841ND
working simultaneously in mesh and AP mode in our setup without issues.
Client + AP modes have the problem that if Client disconnects, also does the same the AP
then suddenly dissapears. I am not sure why but I suffered hundred of times.

Hi fauno,
You want to run a mesh point without an accesspoint?
nope, but since we only have single radio routers, we wanted to have
some as mesh points and some as APs, as modante says. is that possible?
in my experience, having two wifi modes on the same radio makes the
router unstable (though i tried with client+ap modes).
I guess you can remove the ap and apname
sections... that will do it.
Gio may give more info here.

Once time ago I used a router with libremesh only
for mesh and wired to another acting like AP.
I think is not a problem to remove the AP and apname.

thanks, it's what we did but the mesh node stopped working, so it's a
bug? we used the latest release :)
later i realized `wifi` doesn't work with on/off (anymore?) but the
problem persists after rebooting.
i'll come back with more technical details!
