My Picostations don't work as gateways anymore.
I think it's because Picostations have one Ethernet port only.
Maybe it is about lime-hwd-openwrt-wan
I also see there are many upgrades dating from today.
Is something important going on?

Hi all,
is there any guide how to use pirania?
I'd like to use a voucher based Network access in the Nighbourhood - and
found pirania in the lime packages.
It tells something about the CLI /usr/bin/voucher and some commands - but
not what those commands expect.
Has someone kind of an example oder manual?
Thank you and regards,
Andy
Freifunk (a huge German wireless community network) has been accepted in
the Google Summer of Code for 2021.
Even if Google is organising it, this is a great opportunity for
starting contributing to LibreMesh (and earn some $$$ while doing it) :D
This year, the requirements for who can participate as a student are
looser (looks like you just have to be an over18 student) and the work
load is smaller (but also the salary is accordingly smaller, between
$1500 and $3300 depending on where you live), so that I suppose we'll be
able to have more students.
What's important now is to update the projects that the LibreMesh
project/community asks the students to code on, so that their work can
be useful.
The current list of projects is here:
https://projects.freifunk.net/
and it can be modified with pull requests here:
https://github.com/freifunk/projects.freifunk.net-contents
Clearly, either this mailing list or the Element/IRC channel are perfect
places for defining new projects ideas :D
Ciao!
Ilario

<https://projects.freifunk.net>. Please spread this information, so that
we can reach a lot of students.
What are the next steps?
* Ill add everyone I already know they want to mentor as mentor. If you
dont get an invitation but you should get one, please ping me.
* Students may contact us, if they have questions regarding projects.
There is a matrix room we
announced: https://matrix.to/#/!DmXQbxcSxGYgXDYrBs:bau-ha.us?via=bau-ha.us
<https://matrix.to/#/!DmXQbxcSxGYgXDYrBs:bau-ha.us?via=bau-ha.us>
* The application period will start on March 29. From this day students
can submit their proposals.
Now it's also the last chance to update your project ideas or add
another one at https://projects.freifunk.net
If you have any questions, just ask :)
Best regards,

ps: from this year on, the restrictions for students are more open:
> * We've opened up the eligibility to allow for more folks to be
> eligible to apply for GSoC - now any student over 18 years old
> enrolled in a post-secondary academic program or who has graduated
> from such a program between Dec 1, 2020 and May 17, 2021 can apply
> for GSoC. We also are allowing folks who have been accepted into a
> post-secondary academic program that begins by September 30, 2021

Hi,
What are the LibreMesh criteria for Internet gateway selection?
How do its metrics work?
I mean for Expansive Emancipation.
How do you check the Internet gateway used by each node?
If I don't like the Internet gateway a node automatically chooses, how
could I tune it to affect its decision?
Do you have any suggestion for a centralized tool (preferably with
alerts) to monitor the Internet gateways used by each node and their status?
Thank you!

This opens it up for the student and mentor to decide together how they want to break up the project. Some folks may choose to stick to a 17-18 hour a week schedule with their students, others may factor in a couple of breaks during the program (for student and mentor) and some may have students focus 30 hours a week on their project so they wrap up in 6 weeks.

My syslog is flooded with the message above.
Looking around I found in batctl o the same mac as originator as the next
