We're going to write on the web a list of tested routers, just for
helping the visitors to have an idea of the supported/recommended
routers without copying and pasting the whole list provided by
OpenWrt/LEDE.
The discussion on this is here:
https://github.com/libremesh/lime-web/pull/14
Please answer with the routers you tried with LibreMesh.
I played with:
TP-Link WDR3600
TP-Link WR1043ND-v1
Ubiquiti NanoBridge M5
Ubiquiti NanoStation M5 XM
Ubiquiti NanoStation LoCo M2
There's a group currently testing in Brasil how does LibreMesh run on
these ath9k+ath10k routers.
ath9k = 2.4ghz
ath10k = 5ghz
Extra packets needed so far:
kmod-ath10k
ath10k-firmware-qca988x
Progress so far: adhoc doesn't seem to work (virtual interface is not
created) on the ath10k interface. The 2.4ghz interface works correctly
(it's ath9k)
Currently trying ieee80211s mode on ath10k.
Will report any news
If anyone has already tested this hardware or has any tips, much welcome :)
cheers!
Hi,
I have 2 BULLET 2HP to join my Mesh.
I could install LiMe (chef cooked firmware) on my M2, but it missing
memory for being available on 2HP..
Anyone knows if I could try another qMp or OpenWRT? Could it be
compatible with LiMe mesh? Otherwise I could use them as mesh end AP...
Thanks
Fred
Hello,
I did a sysupgrade of my Ubiquity Nanostation M, becaus I changed
country/region/place and I would like to setup libremesh here from scratch.
I created a new profile and used my cooked img, but somethings goes
wrong: Now I've just a red static led when it powers on.
There's something I can try before starting with the failsafe process [1] ?

Hello lime guys
As i explained on another email, each time I set up librenet6 access in
libremesh, I get this ip on anygw interface: 2a00:1508:a94:9400::1
The problem is when i flash and configure librenet6 in the second and
third routers, they get exactly the same ipv6 i stated before. This
means, if i plug one of those routers in another place to internet
access, there won't be any ipv6 because that ipv6 is already in use, as
it happened in a test i just did.
I appreciate any help on this issue, or maybe some exaplanations on how
to handle this IPV6 addressing. I know there are some improvements
awaiting to be done on the firmware.

Hi,
I am trying to use LiMe (chef cooked) on Bullet M2.
Succeed flashing, changing eth0 mode into dhcp client, other iinto dhcp
server.
Whith one node only:
Me <------wlan-----> Mesh (LiMe) BULLETM2 <--eth--> Internet router
10.109.160.104 ---10.109.0.1----192.168.1.32-------192.168.1.1
Connected to mesh, I have no route to Internet... Is there something
special to activate? Or time to wait... But I am waiting for long now...
Any idea of what's happening?
Cheers

Definitely!
Since I haven't found the time, and have no perspective of having it in
the near future, and also would love to integrate you more in the team:
What about if we put up a fresh debian 8 virtual machine for you?
If it sounds good, send me your ssh pubkey and i'll set it up right away
cheers!

Hello lime friends
I am messing with a libremesh router, wdr3500 and wdr3600. On those
devices i flashed an image cooked on the chef, getting the same ip on
both devices: 10.148.0.1. I tried to change the ip on Simple Config /
Advanced, with no luck. If I try to modify the values on the IPV4 field,
they apparently are kept, but reviewing the interfaces the same ip
remains, so route -n in any client shows the same IP.
Then I downloaded a generic image from
http://downloads.libre-mesh.org/community_chaos/ where then I can set a
different IP following the same steps.
I want to know how's the procedure to change a nodes' ip, or get to know
if i am doing wrong the way i did. This is a problem for me because i am
setting the librenet6 tunnel, so both routers get the same anygw iov6
address.
Thanks!
