Dear Council members,
it took us some time to find a second member, that has capacity, experience and is willing to actively participate in the working groups…
We would like to authorize Adam Burns to represent us in the council as well. We collaborate since the early Freifunk days and he is well known across the scene. He has been representing community networking initiatives in general as a stakeholder across a broad spectrum of Technology, Policy and Regulatory issues.
Would you be so kind to add him to this list?
I look forward to your reply.
Best regards, Monic

Hi everyone,
The call for this year's Beyond The Net is open.
Are we planning to present any projects as the CNSIG?
If we do, we need to sign an agreement with a national chapter that's
willing to handle the project money.
Cheers,
Nico
Hello to all,
recently I received the updated ISOC fellowship strategy via a newsletter
and I think it might be interesting to some people from our list also.

Hi dear council,
As part of the conversations that we had last week in our monthly
meeting, I offered myself to have some one-on-one conversations with
each of you to gather a little bit about how things are going to each of us.
I would like to have a call with each of you so we can tell reply each
other these questions:
* What has been happeining lately in your CN?
* Where are you going to put your energy in your next 3 months?
* What are your challenges in this following period?
I hope this helps us know where we are, opportunities for collaboration,
and general info to keep each other updated.
Please, choose your time here: https://calendly.com/nicopace/cnsiginterviews
Thanks, and talk to you soon!
Hi all,
Our current executive council mandates have expired and we haven't been
able to organize a meeting so far.
I propose some alternatives:
1) we agree on a meeting date during next week.
2) we renew our current mandates for another period. If someone cannot
renew, we will need volunteers to cover the role(s)
3) we close shop :)
Cheers!
Nico
Hi CNSIGers,
As discussed in our last meetings ISOC has a small fund to support
Chapters/ SIGs in their admin. I include details below.
I think it would be interested for the CNSIG to get some support in
organising some of its elements under the fundable concepts of "Improve
Chapter performance" and "Contribute to maintaining an active and dynamic
Chapter and SIG Community". For me it would be good to have information
gathered as a SIG that we can a) reflect on, b) share. It would also be
nice to have someone dedicated to following up some of the good ideas
mentioned in meetings and supporting us to implement them.
So my question is, *'is there anyone here that is keen to take this role'*.
If so, please speak up and I propose we apply for the funding. I am happy
to contribute to shaping the scope/purpose of this work.
INFO:
*Further details on this programme & how to apply are available at: *
www.internetsociety.org/beyond-the-net/...
<https://www.internetsociety.org/beyond-the-net/chapter-admin-funding/>
The amount of Admin funding available to your Chapter/SIG is based on the
outcome of the December 2018 Chapter performance evaluations. (See:
www.internetsociety.org/grants/chapter-admin-funding > Funding available).
